Over the years, there has been a sharp rise in the percentage of people who suffer mental stress and anxiety in the USA and all over the world.

A lot of these people don’t even know that they have a problem. Some have gotten used to feeling stressed.
Unfortunately, stress leads to medical ailments and can be life-threatening in extreme cases.
Therefore, work on your stress levels by performing this 5-minute ritual EVERY MORNING.
Allow me to let you in on a powerful secret! How you feel when you wake up determines how well or bad your day will turn out.
This is why you need to take charge of your MORNING with these exercises.
Now, the word “Ritual” does not imply some spooky stuff (lol)! They are simple activities you can engage in every morning – however “religiously”.
Read on to discover these rituals.
Why are your Mornings Important?
I am sure you’re asking that question right now!
So, let me answer it before getting into the powerful rituals.
Psychologically, mornings are moments of refreshment. They are the only time in the day when you feel 100% charged – except when you worked overnight of course. Within these moments, you are more relaxed and focused. Hence, making good use of your mornings determines how well your days turn out.
Spiritually, it is believed that the human soul travels to the spiritual realm at night. Therefore, the morning is seen as a moment of return – mostly with spiritual energy and insights for the day.
Now, beyond all these postulations, EVERYONE (except those who feel stressed or are sick) feels great in the morning.
This is why early morning moments are “almost” the most important moment of each day.
5- Minute Rituals To Start Your Day Without Stress
If you are struggling with stress, anxiety, and worry, it is time to experience internal freedom!
With the following steps I will outline, your mind will be free of the negative energy that causes these feelings to build up within you.
Let’s get into these rituals/steps.
1 – Speak Positive Words before Leaving Your Bed
I want you to pay close attention to this because it will change your life.
When you wake up, it’s wrong to leave your bed in a hurry – without speaking positive words into your atmosphere.
The remaining part of your day will be formed by the first things you say AFTER waking up.
This is why you need to take charge of that “auspicious” moment.
Let me tell you how I do this:
- I write out the affirmations for the week on a white paper and attach it to my board – right in front of my bed.
- When I wake up, the first thing I do is to read out the affirmations.
- I repeat this process 3 times.
The total time to carry out this activity should be nothing more than 45 seconds.
Make your affirmations small, concise, and powerful enough to refresh your mind.
Furthermore, make them reassuring enough to boost your confidence for the day.
2 – Emotional Check
After speaking those beautiful words into your atmosphere, the next thing you should do is process how you feel. Don’t be scared about the discovery.
It leads to acceptance and resolution, which gives your mind the freedom it needs for the day.
For example, if you realize that your heart feels offended towards someone, make peace right away – before leaving your home, or kickstarting your daily activities.
When you constantly perform this emotional check, it creates an alignment between your mind and soul.
Most times, this part of my “morning ritual” takes nothing more than 2 minutes – except in rare cases when I have a lot of emotional baggage to thrash.
3 – Revisit Your Schedule for the Day
This means you MUST have a schedule for your daily activities!
After communicating with your inner self (emotional check), the next thing is to get your planned schedule out and RE-VISIT it. While doing this, it’s okay to cut down the unnecessary activities to create room for extra rest during the day.
What does this do to you?
It gives you a sense of control. Having a planned schedule gives you the impression that you have the day figured out. This feeling keeps your mind at rest and eliminates stress and anxiety about the day.
I spend approximately 2 minutes cross-checking my plans.
4 – Stretch Your Body
Now, this does not need to be a rigorous routine of daily exercises. If you have enough time for “gym-like” exercises, it’s not bad. You can also practice Yoga as well.
However, you can carry out simple push-ups, sit-ups, leg stretches, and so on.
Ensure you stretch your body. This releases built-up tension in your bones from the previous night’s sleep.
Researchers prove that exercise is a major ingredient for anxiety control and stress reduction.
Therefore, dedicate time to stretch your body EVERY MORNING. It pumps you with enough positive energy to start your day without stress.
5 – Listen to Calm Music
The power of sounds cannot be overestimated. When you listen to soothing musical sounds, your mind gets the feeling of peace. This gives you enough room to reflect. You can also take that moment to meditate.
While listening to this sound, you can lie on the floor to connect to the earth or go about your activities while keeping your mind calm.
