Let’s talk about the simple ingredients you need, PLUS the basic steps I follow every time I want to make this delicious snack.
Ingredients:
- 1 package ladyfingers (about 200–250g)
- 300g fresh strawberries, sliced
- 250g mascarpone cheese
- 200ml heavy cream
- 3 – 4 tbsp sugar (or to taste)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup strawberry juice or puréed strawberries (for dipping)
- Fresh mint (optional, for garnish)
Easy Step-by-Step:
Step 1: Make the cream layer
First of all, we need to make the cream layer!
In a bowl, whip the cold cream until soft peaks form.
Add sugar and vanilla before gently folding in the mascarpone.
Step 2: It’s ladyfingers time!
Now, we need to dip the ladyfingers!
Simply dip the ladyfingers into the strawberry juice.
Quick Tip: It has to be a quick dip. Don’t oversoak.
Step 3: Layer it up!
Now it’s very very simple! In a dish, create layers in this order:
- First, ladyfingers
- Then, half of the mascarpone cream
- And finally, sliced strawberries
You need to repeat this with another layer of ladyfingers!
Step 4: Let it chill and serve
