I’m one of those people who loves making bread on Sundays, especially on rainy days! I don’t know, but I feel good making bread and eating it warm with butter…

Last Sunday, I decided to make this no-knead bread recipe, which I’ve made many times. It’s a simple recipe for beginners that almost always turns out well.

No-Knead Artisan Bread Recipe - Easy, Crusty & Perfect for Beginners

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • 2 1/4 cups (270g) Bread flour (you can use all-purpose flour instead)
  • 1 tbsp (6g) active dry yeast (you can use 2 tsp instant yeast)
  • 1 tsp (5g) salt
  • 1/2 (4g) tsp sugar
  • 1 (240ml) cup warm water

How to Make No-Knead Artisan Bread

First of all, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C)!

Start by activating the active dry yeast. To do this, place it in 1/4 cup of warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes. Once the yeast becomes frothy and bubbly, it’s ready to use in your recipe.

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, activated yeast, salt, sugar, and the remaining warm water. Stir until well combined.

Mix the ingredients thoroughly until a sticky dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, you can add a little extra flour. However, keep in mind that ciabatta dough is naturally sticky, so don’t worry if it’s a bit wet.

Once the dough is well mixed, sprinkle some flour over the top, cover the bowl with a cloth, and let it rest for 1.5 hours to rise.

Now that the dough has risen, you just need to put parchment paper in a loaf pan of your choice (I prefer rectangular ones) and pour the dough into that pan. Sprinkle some flour on top, and you can put it in the oven!

Fill a separate dish with 1-2 cups of boiling water and place it on the bottom rack of the oven. This will create steam during the baking process. Then, place the dough on the top rack and bake for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, remove the water dish from the oven and continue baking the ciabatta for about 10 to 15 minutes until golden and crispy on the outside.

And there you have it, your delicious bread is ready! Now it’s time to eat!
