Follow Me NowYesterday, when I finished dinner, it felt like something was missing. You know when you finish eating and still have that little pit in your stomach? Well, I thought, and thought, and thought… And I remembered to try a Cinnamon Swirl Mug Cake!

I’ve had cinnamon rolls before (of course!), but I wasn’t in the mood for something so complex, so this recipe seemed ideal. And you know the best part? It was sensational!
It really tasted like cinnamon rolls! It’s a perfect solution because it’s just one serving, takes just a few minutes, and the preparation is much simpler. I tested it and approved it! So don’t waste any time, trust me, you’ll love it!
Here’s What You’ll Need For the Mug Cake
You’ll need ingredients for the cake batter and cinnamon “syrup”. They’re pretty simple; I had them all at home, so I’m sure you will too.
For the Mug Cake:
- 7 tbsp of plain flour,
- 3 tbsp of granulated sugar,
- 1/2 tsp baking powder,
- 60 ml warm water,
- 40 ml oil,
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.
For the Cinnamon Swirl and Mix
- 1 tbsp malted butter;
- 1 tbsp light brown sugar;
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon.
How to Make This Delicious Mug Cake
Making this cinnamon cake is really easy! You just need to make the cake batter, then the cinnamon swirl, and then mix everything together.
Start by combining the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, warm water, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix everything well until you have a consistent, lump-free batter.

Now let’s make the cinnamon swirl. Mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well until you have a thick, ready-to-use syrup.

Then pour half the cake batter into the mug and swirl the cinnamon, and then pour the rest of the batter and smooth it out. Add the rest of the cinnamon swirl left.

Now you just need to microwave it for 1 minute and 30 seconds (I used 600W). When the cake looks cooked on top, you can remove it and eat it!

If it still looks raw when you remove it, microwave it for another 20 seconds.
Have fun cooking!
