Follow Me NowFruit desserts are usually the easiest way to add something fresh and colorful to a party table without choosing a dessert that feels too heavy. I included the ones people tend to go back for, from strawberry cheesecake and banana pudding to fruit pizza, berry trifles, peach crisp, and individual tarts.
A few of these are especially useful for entertaining because they can be made the night before, while others come together quickly with puff pastry, store-bought cake, or simple layered ingredients. There is a good mix of large desserts for sharing and individual treats guests can grab without waiting for someone to cut and serve them.
1) Baked Strawberry Cheesecake by OMG Chocolate Desserts

A classic strawberry cheesecake is hard to beat when I need a dessert almost everyone will recognize and enjoy. The creamy New York-style filling is finished with homemade strawberry topping, and I always prepare it the day before because it needs at least five hours to chill.
2) Homemade Banana Pudding by Everything Just Baked

This homemade banana pudding has the nostalgic combination of vanilla custard, ripe bananas, Nilla wafers, and real whipped cream. I make it the night before whenever possible. The extra time softens the cookies and brings all those creamy banana and vanilla flavors together beautifully.
3) Sheet Pan Strawberry Shortcake by No. 2 Pencil

This sheet pan version makes strawberry shortcake much easier to serve to a crowd. The recipe produces 12 generous portions, and the shortcake can be baked earlier in the day. I add the whipped cream and fresh strawberries shortly before serving so everything stays fresh and fluffy.

Follow Me Now4) Pineapple Upside-Down Cake by The Recipe Critic

Pineapple upside-down cake is an old-fashioned favorite that still earns plenty of attention on the dessert table. The caramelized pineapple rings and bright cherries create the decoration for you, and the entire cake takes about an hour. I love serving it slightly warm with vanilla ice cream.
5) Apple Crumble by Buns In My Oven

I come back to apple crumble whenever I need something familiar, warm, and comforting. Tart Granny Smith apples keep the filling from becoming overly sweet, while the brown sugar and oat topping adds plenty of crunch. It takes 20 minutes to prepare and is best served with ice cream.
6) Sugar Cookie Fruit Pizza by The Food Charlatan

Fruit pizza is always fun to bring to a party because it looks colorful and is easy to slice. This version uses a soft sugar cookie base, cream cheese frosting, and plenty of fresh fruit. I prepare the components ahead, then decorate it shortly before serving.
7) Strawberry Brownie Trifle by Sweet Girl Treats

Chocolate and strawberries make this trifle especially popular with guests who do not usually choose a fruit dessert. It layers brownie pieces, fresh strawberries, and fluffy chocolate cream in a clear bowl. Using boxed brownies and instant pudding keeps the preparation simple, even though it looks wonderfully impressive.
8) Peach Crisp by Girl Versus Dough

Fresh peach crisp is one of my favorite ways to use ripe summer peaches without making a complicated pie. The oat topping becomes wonderfully crunchy while the fruit bubbles underneath. You can also prepare the topping in advance, and the finished crisp comfortably serves about 10 people.
9) Summer Berry Trifle by Everyday Elizabeth

This summer berry trifle looks gorgeous in a clear glass bowl, with visible layers of cake, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, cream, and lemon curd. It only takes about 15 minutes to assemble with store-bought cake, and the berry and cream mixtures can be prepared the night before.
10) Strawberry Tiramisu by Sweet and Savory Meals

Strawberry tiramisu has become one of my favorite alternatives to the traditional coffee version. Ladyfingers are dipped in fresh strawberry sauce and layered with a rich mascarpone cream. It requires no baking, and I recommend assembling it the night before so it can chill properly.
11) Lemon Blueberry Layer Cake by Sally’s Baking

This lemon blueberry cake is the one I choose when the dessert needs to double as a table centerpiece. The three soft layers are filled with blueberries and bright lemon flavor, then finished with cream cheese frosting. The cake layers and frosting can both be prepared one day ahead.
12) No-Bake Peach Icebox Cake by Pitchfork Foodie Farms

This peach icebox cake only needs three main ingredients and about 10 minutes of active preparation. Layers of graham crackers, whipped cream, and peach filling soften together in the refrigerator. I deliberately make this one ahead because the texture becomes much more cake-like after chilling.
13) Raspberry Streusel Bars by Sally’s Baking

These raspberry bars are easy to carry, portion, and serve without plates, which makes them especially useful for picnics and potlucks. Fresh raspberries and preserves create a thick filling between buttery shortbread and brown sugar streusel. I chill them overnight and add the vanilla icing before serving.
14) Mini Fruit Tarts by Simply Home Cooked

These little fruit tarts take more preparation, but they look like something from a bakery once arranged on a platter. Each shortbread shell is filled with homemade vanilla custard, fresh berries, and a shiny apricot glaze. The shells and custard can be prepared several days ahead.
15) Triple Berry Cream Cheese Puff Pastry Tarts by Fetty’s Food Blog

Store-bought puff pastry makes these berry tarts much easier than they look. The flaky squares are filled with sweet vanilla cream cheese and topped with blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. There are only about 15 minutes of active preparation, but I assemble them close to serving time.
16) Mango Vanilla Panna Cotta by Tatyana’s Everyday Food

These mango panna cotta cups bring a bright tropical option to the table. The creamy vanilla layer is topped with mango gelée, passion fruit, and optional whipped cream. I make them the night before because they need six to eight hours in the refrigerator to become completely firm.
17) Berry Pavlova by This Silly Girl’s Kitchen

A berry pavlova is worth the extra time when I want a true showstopper. The crisp meringue shell has a soft marshmallow-like center and is topped with pastry cream, whipped cream, and fresh berries. Prepare the shell and cream ahead, then assemble it immediately before serving.
18) Easy Mini Cheesecakes by Joy Bauer

These mini cheesecakes are so convenient for parties because nobody has to slice or serve them. Each one has a graham cracker crust and creamy cheesecake filling, and guests can choose their own toppings. I make them ahead since they need at least two hours to chill.
19) Ambrosia Salad by Modern Honey

Ambrosia salad always brings back memories of family gatherings and old-fashioned potlucks. This version tastes especially fresh because it uses real whipped cream and fresh pineapple with mandarin oranges, cherries, coconut, and marshmallows. Chill it for two hours, but add the marshmallows later if preparing it ahead.
20) White Chocolate Raspberry Ice Cream by Tatyana’s Everyday Food

This no-churn ice cream has raspberry sauce, whole berries, white chocolate, and crushed vanilla wafers in every scoop. It only takes about 25 minutes to prepare and does not require an ice cream machine. I freeze it overnight so it becomes firm enough to scoop neatly.
21) Raspberry-Filled Chocolate Bites by Clean Food Crush

These frozen raspberry bites have become such a cute addition to summer dessert boards. They only need four ingredients, and the tart raspberry and chia filling works perfectly with the dark chocolate coating. Make a double batch because nine bites disappear very quickly once everyone tries one.
There is enough variety here to put together a dessert table without making five versions of the same thing. I usually choose one familiar favorite, such as banana pudding, strawberry cheesecake, or apple crumble, and then add one of the prettier options, like the mini fruit tarts, panna cotta cups, or berry pavlova.
For a cookout or potluck, the fruit pizza, raspberry bars, mini cheesecakes, and chocolate bites are especially easy for guests to grab. When I have more refrigerator space, I make one of the trifles or the strawberry tiramisu the night before and bring it out just before dessert.
