Follow Me NowCook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the cheese is completely melted and smooth. Be patient and avoid using high heat to prevent the cheese from becoming grainy.
Step 2 – Add Flavor:
Stir in the diced green chilies, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).
Continue to stir until all ingredients are well combined and the dip is smooth and creamy.
Step 3 – Adjust Consistency:
If the cheese dip is too thick, add more milk, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
Step 4 – Taste and Season:
Taste the dip and add salt if needed. The saltiness of the cheese can vary, so adjust according to your preference.
Step 5 – Serve:
Pour the cheese dip into a serving bowl.
Garnish with fresh cilantro and jalapeño slices if desired.
Serve immediately with tortilla chips, fresh veggies, or over your favorite Mexican dishes.
