Follow Me NowI never thought I could make pasta at home that’s more delicious than what you get at a restaurant, and with just 5 ingredients. But I did it, and I’m here to help you do it too!

This was my first time making homemade pasta, as I was always nervous about how it would turn out.
To my surprise, it was a super simple, quick, and absolutely delicious recipe! The pasta has a unique flavor that store-bought versions simply can’t match.
From now on, whenever I have the time, I’ll be making all my pasta at home!
You can (and should) do it too. Follow the recipe below, you’ll be amazed by the quality (and flavor) of this pasta!
How To Make Homemade Pasta – Easy Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1 ½ c flour (190g + 30 g reserved for dusting)
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. salt (10g)
- 2 tsp. extra virgin olive oil 10 ml)
- 3 tsp. water (15 ml)
Step 1: Prepare the Flour
On a clean surface, mound the flour (reserve 30 g for later) into a pile and create a large well in the center.

Step 2: Mix the Wet Ingredients
Add the salt, olive oil, and 5 ml (1 tsp) of water into the center with the eggs.

Follow Me NowUsing a fork, whisk the egg mixture carefully, slowly pulling in a little flour from the edges of the well. Continue incorporating the flour gradually.

Step 3: Form the Dough
As the mixture thickens, use your hands to knead it into a dough. If it’s too dry, add the remaining water a little at a time.

Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic. The dough should feel firm but pliable. Now, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 4: Split the Dough
Now, divide the dough into 4 equal parts to make it easier to work with. Take one portion and roll it out slightly, not too thin, just as shown in the image below.

Now, take the edges of the dough and fold them inward, as shown in the image below. After that, it’s time to roll the dough out as thin as possible! Gather the edges of the dough to create a more uniform shape – this step is just for consistency.

Step 4: Split the Rolled Dough
Once the dough is rolled out, cut it into two pieces. Take one of the pieces and fold it into thirds -this step is crucial for cutting the dough into your desired shape.

Finally, using a knife, cut the dough as shown in the photo below. When you’re done, you’ll have several strands of pasta ready to cook!

To finish, let me remind you that you can cook the pasta in boiling water for just 2 minutes (yes, ONLY 2 minutes!!!). If it’s not fully cooked, you can leave it for an additional 30 seconds. Do NOT cook it for longer than that!
If you’d like, you can also store the pasta in the freezer, it keeps perfectly for up to 1 week (without losing any flavor!) but can last up to 2 months. The cooking time remains the same, between 2 and 2.5 minutes.
I hope this step-by-step has been helpful!
