Follow Me NowStep 2 – Melt the Cheeses
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella and cubed cream cheese. Microwave on high for about 1 minute, stir, and then heat for another 30 seconds until the cheeses are completely melted and smooth.
Step 3 – Mix in Dry Ingredients
Add the almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt to the melted cheese mixture. Mix until well combined. The dough will be sticky.

Step 4 – Add the Egg
Let the cheese mixture cool slightly, then add the egg. Mix until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, you can add a little more almond flour.

Step 5 – Form the Crust
Place the dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Using your hands or a rolling pin, press the dough out into a circle or your desired pizza shape. Aim for about 1/4 inch thickness.
Step 6 – Add Toppings and Bake
Add your favorite keto-friendly toppings (sauce, cheese, meats, vegetables, etc.). Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and firm to the touch or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 7 – Serve
Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your keto-friendly pizza!

This was a typical almond Flour keto pizza dough. It was satisfactorio. Why didnt my pizza come out like the photo you posted to this recipe? The photo looked like a yeast dough pizza??
Hi Ann! The recipe doesn’t use yeast, so it won’t have the such a airy texture as traditional yeast dough. If your pizza didn’t quite match the photo, it might have to do with how the dough was spread or baked. You can try adding 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder to give it a little lift. You can also spread the dough slightly thicker and bake it at a slightly higher temperature for a shorter time to get that golden, puffy look.
I made this for the first time. It came out perfect and delicious. My husband even loved it. It is so easy to make!
Hi! That’s amazing! I’m so glad it turned out perfect for you and even better that your husband loved it too! Easy and delicious is always a win. ❤️
I made this tonight for the first time and it was great! It wasn’t done on the inside after 15 or 20 minutes using my oven so I baked it for 25 minutes and it was perfect ~ nice and crispy. It’s so nice to be able to eat pizza again! A bonus is that our daughter, who has to eat gluten free because she is celiac, can eat this too!
Hi Carol! That’s amazing to hear! I’m so glad you and your daughter enjoyed it. Nothing beats a crispy, delicious pizza! Thanks for sharing your experience, and happy baking! ✨
This is delicious! Came out great!
Hi Angela, that looks DELICIOUS! I am glad you liked it! 🙂
Can I cook this in my outdoor fire pizza oven?
Yes, absolutely! Just keep an eye on it—those ovens run hot, so it’ll cook faster than in a regular oven. Should be delicious!
Hi Anne. I’m very serious keto and won’t eat anything without knowing the macros( nutritional information). I couldn’t find it anywhere on this recipe. Please help. Thankyou
Totally get it! I haven’t added the full macros yet, but I’ll work on including them soon. In the meantime, a rough estimate per slice (if you make 8 slices) is about 3–4g net carbs, depending on toppings. Always best to double-check with your own tracker too. Enjoy!
Can this be used with a gluten free flour rather than almond flour? I have an allergy to almonds, and I don’t want to chance it!
Great question! Yes, you can absolutely try a gluten-free flour blend instead of almond flour. Just make sure it’s one that’s meant for 1:1 substitution. The texture might be slightly different, so you may need to adjust a bit—start with a little less and add more as needed to form the dough. Let me know how it turns out!
Hi! I am just eating your PIZZA! It looks PERFECT! BUT…. I really wished for REAL PIZZA. The dough was SOO BAD STICKY I JUST PLOPPED IT ON THE PARCHMENT….But it WORKED OUT TO A PERFECT LOOKING CRUST! Taste wise was a consistency that was a bit too cheese flavored rather than the “bread” kind I CRAVE. BUT IT WAS EXCELLENT FOR KETO & it DID SATISFY! Thank u soooo much!!! Wish I could send pic cause it looks AWESOME & EASY to do! Xxx
Thanks so much for trying it out! 🙂
I totally get what you mean about the dough — sticky but worth it, right? Your pizza looks amazing, and I’m so glad it hit the spot for a keto version!
