Bacon & Chorizo Pasta

I’ve tried a lot of pasta recipes, but I have to admit that this was one of the best of ALL!

I learned this recipe from a cook I follow on Instagram and since then I haven’t made pasta any other way. It’s a simple recipe, but really delicious!

If you love pasta and bacon, believe me, you won’t want anything else. Without further ado, let’s move on to the delicious recipe. Are you ready to be amazed by this recipe?

Bacon & Chorizo Pasta Recipe

Bacon & Chorizo Pasta

Ingredients (1 serving):

  • 100g dried weight pasta
  • 1 Tablespoon tomato puree
  • 30g chorizo
  • 2 smoked bacon medallions
  • Half an onion
  • 3 light cheese triangles
  • 20g parmigiano reggiano

Instructions:

Step 1 – Prepare the Bacon and Onions

Slice the bacon into strips and dice the onions. In a frying pan, cook the bacon strips with the diced onions and chorizo until the meat is browned and the onions are soft.

Step 2 – Boil the Pasta

In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions.

Step 3 – Create the Sauce Base

Once the meat and onions are cooked, add a tablespoon of tomato puree to the pan. Incorporate the cheese triangles and half of the grated Parmigiano Reggiano into the mixture.

Step 4 – Form the Sauce

Gradually add pasta water to the pan, stirring to combine and create a smooth sauce.

Step 5 – Combine and Serve

When the pasta is al dente, drain it and add it to the pan with the meat and sauce. Toss everything together until well mixed. Serve the dish topped with the remaining grated Parmigiano Reggiano.

It looks like the recipe is ready!
