Flavorful blueberry muffins within 20 minutes!
Now, before I wrap this up, let’s discuss some important points.
Can I Use Frozen Blueberries?
YES! You can use frozen blueberries. Now, don’t just run off. There are some things to put in place.
Keep this in mind:
- Don’t thaw your frozen blueberries before tossing them into the mixture. This helps them to hold up pretty well. It also prevents them from releasing excess moisture into the batter prematurely.
- This is optional, but has proven helpful over time. “Flour Coating” prevents your blueberries from sinking to the bottom of your muffin. Just sprinkle some flour on it. That’s all!
Toppings or Mix-Ins to Try Ideas
When it comes to toppings or mix-ins, it is okay to get creative. However, let me suggest a few that I’ve tried over time. They blend perfectly with your blueberry muffins.
- Cinnamon sugar topping adds an aromatic flavor to your blueberry muffins. So, if you want a warm, comforting “fruity” snack, this topping is perfect.
- Lemon zest infuses a bright, citrusy flavor into your snack. Trust me, every bite is a classic delight. This is my favorite among ‘em all.
- White chocolate chips give your muffins an extra crunch. It also adds a chocolatey flavor to the mix.
