I recently taught you how to make my special Ninja Creami oreo ice cream recipe (it’s amazing!) and it seems like all my readers loved it!
So, taking this success into account, I decided to reveal a recipe that has been in the family for a few years, our homemade vanilla ice cream recipe.
I don’t know if this recipe is known by other families, but I don’t think so. It has several special touches that make this ice cream simply delicious. I don’t want to waste any more time, check out the recipe below!
My Aunt’s Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe
This recipe is very simple to make. My aunt improved the quantities of ingredients year after year, so I recommend that you do not change the quantities described below.
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups Heavy Cream;
- 2 Cups Whole Milk;
- Pinch of Salt;
- 3/4 Cups Sugar;
- 2 Tbls. Vanilla Extract.
Simple directions:
It seems like a lie, but the truth is that you will have your ice cream ready in less than 15 minutes. Now that you have all the ingredients, you just need to follow this simple and quick step by step!
Step 1
Gather all the ingredients above.
Step 2
In a large bowl add all of the ingredients and mix until combined.
Step 3 (Optional)
If you don’t want just plain vanilla ice cream you can add fruit, chocolate chips, or even nuts as desired.
Step 4 (Using ice cream maker)
If you have a regular ice cream maker, pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and mix for about 20 minutes.
Step 5 (Using ice cream maker)
Transfer the mixture to an airtight container and freeze until firm (it takes about 4 hours) or freeze it according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The ice cream is ready to serve!
Step 4 (Using Ninja Creami)
If you have a Ninja Creami or similar, you need to freeze the mixture for about 24 hours before using the machine.
Step 5 (Using Ninja Creami)
After 24 hours, insert the Ninja Creami container in the machine and select the Ice Cream option.
If the mixture is still a little bit crumbly (like below), you can do a re-spin and the ice cream will become smooth.
But, if you’re adding any extras like chocolate chips, nuts or fruits, don’t use the re-spin option. Use the + extras — as recommended by the manufacturer.
Step 6 (Using Ninja Creami)
The ice cream is ready to serve! Enjoy.
As you may have noticed, I don’t like to draw! I like to give the simple and direct recipe to my readers.
In return, I just ask for your support. As? Share this recipe on Pinterest! Believe me, it’s a simple gesture that means A LOT to me.
Have fun cooking!
