Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 4 – 5 tbsp Nutella or other chocolate hazelnut spread
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Easy step-by-Step:
Step 1: Preheat and Prep
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.

Cut them into squares. You can get about 4 to 6 from one sheet.
Step 2: Fill with Nutella
Fill the center or one side of each square with a TBSP of Nutella.

Fold the squares into triangles or rectangles.
Press the edges to seal.

Use a fork to crimp the edges if you want it to look rustic.
Step 3: Brush and Bake
Beat the egg and brush the tops of each turnover with egg wash.

Transfer them to a baking tray that’s lined with parchment paper.

Bake for about 18 to 20 minutes or until they are puffed and golden brown.
Step 4: Serve warm
Don’t let it cool completely before serving.
Enjoy it warm or dust with powdered sugar for extra sweetness.

Can I Use Something Other Than Nutella?
Yes, you can use something other than Nutella. I would recommend peanut butter, Biscoff or even banana slices.
They work well and add a slightly different flavor, which makes things interesting.
For example, if you are looking to switch things up, substitute Nutella with one of the options above.
Yep! Peanut butter, jam, Biscoff, or even banana slices work great too.
How to Store (If You Have Leftovers!)
If you have leftovers, you can store them. All you need is an airtight container. Place them inside and cover. This way, they can last for a day or two.
When you want to eat them, simply reheat in the oven for a crispy texture.
It’s that simple!

Nutella puff pastry turnovers are a game changer. Whether you have a special occasion or not, they create unforgettable memories by filling your mouth with classic goodness for a light snack or get-together treat with your loved ones.
