My latest protein ice creams at Ninja Creami have been a huge success, so I decided to publish another super simple recipe with protein and matcha.
This recipe, which only takes a few minutes to make, has around 36 grams of protein per 500ml container of Ninja Creami. So, it’s ideal for those looking to consume a lot of protein at once!

Ninja Creami Matcha Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon matcha green tea powder;
- 1/2 cup whole milk;
- 1/2 ripe banana;
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese;
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder.

Step 2 – Blend the Mixture
Use an immersion blender to thoroughly blend the ingredients until smooth and well combined, ensuring the matcha powder is fully incorporated.
Make sure you taste it before you freeze it and add more matcha than you normally do or it will taste very bland! For me, 1 tbsp is enough but my husband likes 2 tbsp.
Step 3 – Freeze the Mixture
Place the lid on the container and freeze for 24 hours.
Step 4 – Initial Spin
Remove the container from the freezer and place it into the Ninja Creami machine. Select the Lite Ice Cream function and start the machine.
Step 5 – Adjust the Texture
Press the re-spin button once. If the ice cream is still crumbly, press the re-spin button one more time until it reaches a smooth, creamy consistency.
Step 6 – Serve and Enjoy
Scoop the high-protein matcha ice cream into bowls, garnish with your favorite toppings if desired, and serve immediately!
