Follow Me NowBefore we begin, let me just say this: These are the best cookies I’ve ever had in my life! But… the photos speak for themselves!

These cookies are my favorite festive cookies. Since they’re made with red and green M&Ms, I’ve dubbed them Santa’s Favorite Cookies!
They turned out soft, with an incredibly rich flavor and a divine appearance. Trust me, this is a recipe everyone should try.
Without further ado, roll up your sleeves and start baking these cookies!
You can make the cookie dough and freeze it for later use. You can keep the dough frozen for up to 3 months.
Santa’s Favorite M&M Cookies with Chocolate Chunks Recipe

Step 3: Combine the Dry Ingredients
Sift in the self-rising flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and cornstarch. Mix well, using your hands if needed, until the dough is smooth and consistent.

Step 4: Fold in the Chocolate and M&Ms
Gently fold in the chocolate chunks and mini M&Ms until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Step 5: Shape the Dough Balls
Using a spoon or ice cream scoop, form dough balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Ensure they are spaced about 5cm apart to allow room for spreading.

If some cookies lack visible M&Ms, press a few on top gently for a festive look.
Step 6: Chill the Dough
Cover the dough balls with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 48 hours for enhanced flavor).
Make-Ahead Tip: At this stage, you can freeze the dough balls instead of refrigerating for later use.
Step 7: Bake the Cookies
Preheat the oven to 350ºF (175°C).
Bake the cookies for 15–20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers should look slightly undercooked. If they appear fully done in the oven, they are likely overbaked and will become dry once cooled.
Step 8: Cool and Enjoy
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 15 minutes before transferring them to a wire cooling rack to avoid breaking them.
